Food and culture

Sambal stingray

Sambal is a versatile chili paste blended with spices, shallots, candlenuts and often belachan (fermented shrimp paste). The Sambal-coated cuts of stingray are wrapped in cleaned banana leaves and grilled to smoky perfection. I like it because its spicy .

Katong laksa

influenced dish consisting of thick rice vermicelli in a rich, spicy coconut gravy . The Katong version has noodles cut into smaller lengths, so it can be easily scooped up with a spoon . The soup is opaque , thick and slightly gritty from the abundance of ground dried shrimp, which gives it the umami kick. Chopsticks or forks are not given . i like Katong laksa because u don have to use fork or spoon to scoop up the noodle .

Singapore Roller-coaster shut down

About the Roller-coaster shut down , I think the people who are building the Roller-coaster should check more about the technical problem about launching it . If I were to go on the Roller-coaster ride , I would ask if there is any technical problem or any glitches before going on a ride .

EXPECT HEAVY TRAFFIC AT BOARD
LAND checkpoints at Woodlands and Tuas are expecting heavy traffic flow over the coming Good Friday weekend.Outgoing traffic is expected to build up from Thursday until Sunday, while incoming traffic is expected to be particularly heavy on Sunday.Travellers are advised to avoid the peak periods, as enhanced security checks and large number of travellers will cause traffic congestion, said the Traffic Police.Travellers can help to ease traffic congestion by maintaining lane discipline at the checkpoints, car-pooling, or taking public transport. Also, Singaporean travellers with valid passports and who are registered with the National Registration Office may use the eIACS (Enhanced Immigration Automated Clearance System) lanes at the Bus Halls for faster immigration clearance.Travellers departing from Singapore by land will be able to know in advance the traffic situation at Tuas and Woodlands Checkpoint from the LTA's Expressway Monitoring and Advisory System (EMAS) installed along AYE and BKE respectively. They can also call the traffic information hotline at 6863-0117 or visit LTA's website to check on the latest traffic conditions at the land checkpoints.
